Co-chaired by Christine St-Pierre, Minister of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women, and Andrée Lavallée, Member of the City of Montréal Executive Committee Responsible for Urban Planning and Transportation and Mayor of the Borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, the Honorary Patrons Committee brings together important Montréal figures in architecture and heritage conservation, representatives of community groups, and a number of key property owners in the vicinity of Place d’Armes. These individuals’ participation in the "Imaginer la place d'Armes" urban design workshop is evidence of the keen interest shown by the city and the Ministère de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine in the completion of this initiative, via the creation, in the project’s earliest stages, of a wider cooperative framework conducive to success.
