Since 1979, successive agreements
between the City of Montréal
and the ministère de la Culture et des Communications
du Québec have encouraged many private and public initiatives
intended to develop and promote the city's heritage, and particularly
its historic centre. The Official Old Montréal Web site
was prepared under the current agreement on the cultural development
of Montréal.
