Around Rue de l’Hôpital

As far back as 1874, hundreds of wires led to the roof of the elegant Montréal Telegraph building, the heart of a vast telegraphic system. The Chambers Telegraph building, nearby, was built in 1900 to house the telecommunication services of Canadian Pacific.
